Intel is releasing its Arc Pro series of GPUs today, created mainly for effective desktop workstations and laptop computers. The Intel Arc Pro A40 and A50 will both be offered for workstations, while the A30M will be available in pro-focused laptop computers. All three GPUs can hardware-based ray tracing and AV1 hardware velocity– and are developed with AI jobs and creator apps like Adobe Best Pro in mind. The Intel Arc Pro A40 will deliver in a little single-slot form factor with 3.5 teraflops of visual power, eight ray-tracing cores, and 6GB of GDDR6 memory. Intel is targeting this GPU at slimline workstations or little kind aspect PCs.

The bigger A50 steps up to a dual-slot type element, 4.8 teraflops of visual power, 8 ray-tracing cores, and 6GB of GDDR6 memory. Due to its dual-slot design, this is most likely more fit to traditional workstations. Both of these workstation GPUs will also consist of 4 Mini DisplayPorts for several monitor configurations. Intel supports two monitors at 8K 60Hz, one at 5K 240Hz, 2 at 5K 120Hz, or 4 at 4K 60Hz. While you can technically play games on these GPUs, they’re not created for gaming. Instead, Intel is optimizing these for pro tasks and developer apps like Mixer, HandBrake, Best Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and a lot more.

Intel is targeting to get these GPUs licensed for apps within engineering and building and construction, architecture, and production. These GPUs will also support full AV1 hardware acceleration, in what Intel calls a market initially. The Mobile A30M GPU will include 3.5 teraflops of visual efficiency, 8 ray-tracing cores, and 4GB of GDDR6 memory. It’s developed to utilize between 35 and 50 watts of peak power, and show outputs will depend upon laptop computer configurations from OEMs. Intel has actually set expectations low for its just recently launched consumer video gaming GPUs, and the company isn’t offering up any indicators on workstation efficiency right now. Intel says its Arc Pro variety of GPUs will be readily available from mobile and desktop partners later this year.
